Welcome, and thank you for visiting Erwin Church of God online. We at the Erwin COG have a great history; more than a century of winning souls and preaching the Gospel message in Unicoi County. It is our desire and prayer that we continue this tradition, seeing a renewed and revived dedication to the full message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Not only the message that Jesus is love, but also that He is provider, healer, comforter, friend, protector and, above all else, SAVIOR.
The Erwin Church of God was the first to preach "holiness" and "Pentecost" in Erwin, TN. We remember that legacy, and honor the labor that has been done in the Rock Creek community and all of Unicoi County by continuing the on the foundation of righteousness and holiness through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Erwin Church of God is located on the banks of Rock Creek in beautiful Erwin, Tennessee, at 772 Rock Creek Road. If you are in the Tri-Cities Area, please come and help us celebrate Jesus.

WE BELIEVE:

In the verbal inspiration of the Bible

In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

That Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the virgin Mary, that Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. That He ascended into heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as intercessor.

That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for the forgiveness of sin.

That justification, regeneration, and the new birth, are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ: through the word, and by the Holy Ghost.

Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.

In the baptism with the Holy Spirit subsequent to a clean heart.

In speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives the utterance, and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.

Latest News
We are so very excited about what God is doing at Erwin Church of God. Miracles are happening, and God's people are being blessed.
After weathering the storm of the COViD 19 pandemic, we are getting back to full ministry. We were able to give over $1400.00 to our Church of God World Missions project for the church year of 2021/2022, and we have set the goal of at least $1500.00 for 2022/2023. We will also be engaging in a prayer tent ministry in August and September so check back and see what God is doing.
